Was there more than just nerves behind 17-year-old DAVID ARCHULETA's shaky performance on last night's "American Idol"?

The early favorite was definitely off his game and even forgot several lines during his version of THE BEATLES' "We Can Work It Out." Sources are telling ET the singer may be feeling the pressure from his "stage father" JEFF ARCHULETA, who reportedly yelled at David during a recording session Monday.

Sources say Dad wasn't happy with his son's singing -- and even brought him to tears. Neither Jeff nor reps for "American Idol" would comment on the alleged incident.

Update: LYNN and ALEX, writers of entertainment blog www.laragmag.com tell ET that this may not be the first time Jeff has lost it -- they tell us that he was banned from the set of "Star Search" when a 12-year-old David competed on the program. The writers explain that there were rumors that Jeff had allegedly harassed a girl named TIFFANY who was David's competition in the contest.

POOR DAVID! he's like only 17 or something and his dad is pushing him so hard. awww. no wonder his performance was affected. oh man since it was so bad yest, does this mean his dad is gonna lose it again? give him a break dad! he's only a teen. gosh, he's like britney's mom, always pushing the kid to the limit.

NOOOOO. danny's out of american idol! how could that happen! pple of america why did you not vote enough for him. like hello. i can't believe there won't be anymore head snapping on AI! god, i so love his attitude and mannerisms. maaaan. this sucks. he was my one of my favourites too. sighh.

today's been a little crappy. and i was feeling kinda down. (the news about danny getting booted didn't help) i was in the car and saw how nice the clouds looked. so on a whim i decided to go to the park and look at clouds. haha. it really calmed me down some. it was a nice day and there weren't many people where i was, so it was really peaceful. i forgot how much i loved looking at clouds. and seeing what shapes they formed. haha.

and it made me realise how i never take the time to appreciate the things around me. the last time i juz lay down to look at clouds was.....gosh i can't even remember. it's the simple things that always get me thinking. that gives me the clear mind to think about things.

it's when you think everything is just moving so fast, and that you can't catch up. that you just wanna stop for a while. you just wanna lie down.

and breathe.

so note to self : more cloud gazing. haha. (by the way, i spotted a freaking cloud island in the sky. and there was a beeeeg bunny hopping towards it to crush it and all its fluffy inhabitants. and a crocodile was chasing after the bunny too.)

and sigh. american idol is on. goodbye danny bb.

i've watch two movies in this week alone. and i think i'm going for a third soon. how broke am i gonna be man. haha.

anyways please don't watch cj7. if you really want to watch it, go download it or something. it was a generally ok movie, but e ending was fucking weird. like serious. it was those HUH? endings. haha.

BUUUUT please catch LEAP YEARS. it's a lovely movie. wong li lin's so pretty and ananda everingham is just THE hotness. ooh *swoons*. the story's great...but it's something you'd expect since it was adapted from a catherine lim novel. and it really is nice. haha.

ooooh i'm glad thursday is over. done are my presentation and test for abnormal psych. it's been a pretty long day. which ended with dinner with some OG pple at munchie monkey's.

news of the day: a man got shot at an mrt station by a police officer. well, that's something that doesn't happen everyday. he was shot when he ran at the officer with a knife which he earlier used to kill another guy. when i first heard the news, i thought the guy got shot cos they officer thought he was mas selamat. and i was thinking too myself, WHAT. how sad is it that you die cos you look like somebody else? and i realised, it's a possible scenario.

but really the most eye catching part of the article about this (the eyewitness said this): The person was holding his chest, he went "Ahhhh", and then he fell down very loudly.

i find his description so....wow. haha. he went "Ahhh"? seriously? haha.

oh wells. i was looking at my list of events happening. and woweee. i'm looking forward to all of them. cherie's birthday, foodhunt (goooo cheese balls!), beach fiesta, camps. and of course the bangkok trip! wheee.

sometimes, it's shocking to see how small the world really is. you would never imagine that you would meet a certain person again under such circumstances. it's unbelievable sometimes the way the world works. hmm. so unbelievable i think i might just laugh.
